There's an article floating around saying no one should practice yoga. It's not safe. With any physical fitness program there is a chance of injury. It all comes down to the teacher and the client. The client should disclose any injuries, past and present. A responsible teacher will give modifications for each pose, will encourage the participants to be aware and listen to their body. Not all poses are created for EVERY body or created to practice EVERY day. Everyone in the class, including the teacher, need to let go of their ego and the no pain no gain mentality. It doesn't matter what pose you did 10 years ago or maybe even last month. Live in the present. Our bodies feel different every day and we should honor them.
